We're back open! That's right - you are able to visit us again. View the video below for the safety measures we have in place for the next time you visit one of our leisure centres.

We are pleased to announce that our Go Active centres will be reopening from 27th July 2020 for gym and classes. This will be followed by our pools at Queens Park and Newton le Willows Health & Fitness from 3rd August 2020.

There will be no charge for your membership during August and payments will recommence by direct debit from 1st September 2020.

All activities will be on a book only basis which can be done online, by phone or at of our Centres. IF you have not already registered to book online please click here.

Track & Trace

If we receive information that one of our customers have tested positive for Coronavirus after visiting our sites, we will be in contact with customers who have attended within the same group. We will be in contact to ensure you are happy for us to send your details off to track and trace.

Conditions of Entry

To ensure we keep our customers and our staff safe, we politely ask you to read, understand and comply to the below conditions of entry before visiting us.

Booking Notice

We've had a lot of non-attendees. Please be courteous to others by releasing your space if you can’t attend!

From now on, if you fail to cancel your booking and don’t attend, our booking system will automatically STOP you from booking future sessions until you contact reception.

If this situation does not improve, we will reintroduce our £5.00 penalty.

How is Go Active preparing to protect customers & staff?”

We have designed extensive cleaning & protective procedures to be in place. These include (but are not limited to) increased cleaning specifications, hygiene stations around our sites, adhering to our social distancing procedures around the building & being respectful to staff and other customers. There will also be temperature checks before entering the building.

“What areas of the centres will remain closed?”

All non-essential areas of the centre will remain closed for the time being. These include: lockers, sauna/steam rooms, vending areas, etc.

As lockers are no longer available, we will recommend that you only bring essential items (no bags, no towels.) Please bring a bottle of water if required & ensure it is filled up before entering the building.

“Do I need to wear a mask?”

Wearing a face mask is down to personal choice but is not mandatory. Staff may also wear masks if they wish. There will be social distancing measures & hygiene stations in place from entrance to exit.

“Will I need to book in to use the facility?”

Yes. Whether it`s for the gym, a class or a swim, you will need to pre book a session. To keep in line with social distancing measures, occupancy levels for each activity are limited. You will be able to book a session via the telephone or using the online booking system.

“Will everything be contactless?”

Yes. There will be no money on site so should you wish to be something from our centres, you must use contactless payment only.

“Can I book my friends & family in for a session?”

Unfortunately, you will only be able to book yourself onto a session.

 “If I am late for my session, can I still attend?”

Yes, you can still attend if you are slightly late for your session. However, you will need to be out when your session ends.

 “When will swimming lessons resume?”

We do not have a date as to when swimming lessons will resume. They will resume once safe to do so. Payments will remain on hold until lessons are back to normal.

“How will swimming work?”

We will be allocating one lane to one person for the duration of your swimming session. You will be asked to arrive pool ready. You will be allocated a changing cubicle which will be the same number as your swimming lane. Belongings will remain in your cubicle while you complete your session. Your session will be 45 minutes, with 15 minutes to get changed after your session. Age 16 and over will be allowed to book a lane swim. Once customers leave, all cubicles and touched areas will be disinfected ready for our next guests. “Who will be allowed to come swimming?”

Everyone will be allowed to come swimming. However, if you are under the age of 16, you must be accompanied by one adult from the same household. We will be allowing a maximum of two people per lane from one household to book.

 “Will showers be available?”

Unfortunately, showers will not be available.

“How long do I get in the Fitness Suite?”

Your session will be for one hour only.

“Will I need to bring any equipment to my classes?”

Yes, you will need to bring you own mat with you. For other classes such as Pump and Spin, we will be providing equipment and this will be disinfected before and after use.

“Do I need to bring a towel to my Fitness Session to wipe down equipment?”

No, you will not be required to bring a towel to wipe down all your equipment. We kindly ask if you can use the anti-bacterial wipes to clean your equipment before and after use, before disposing off the wipe.

“Will changing rooms be open?”

Changing rooms for the Fitness Suite will not be open. We kindly ask if you can come ‘gym ready’ in your kit.

“How long will the centre close after each hour?”

After each hour, we will be closing for 15 minutes to clean all touched areas and prepare for our next guests.

“When will my direct debit resume?”

Direct Debits will resume on 1st September 2020.

“What happens if I had a promotional membership?”

Please contact reception and we can advise you further.

 “Can I pay as you go if I want to attend?”

Yes, you will just need to pay over the phone or online. You will need your access card to hand.  

If I have cancelled my membership and I want to re-join, how can I do this?”

Please contact reception.

“When can I join?”

You will be able to join from Monday 27th July, both online & at reception.

“How can I cancel my membership?”

If you would like to cancel your membership, please let us know as we need to complete a cancellation form. This can be done at reception or over the phone. It is your responsibility to cancel your direct debit with your bank.

“My card is not registering, what do I do?”

Yes, if you have an annual membership with us then we will extend your membership to honour the closure of our sites.
