This group is perfect for anyone passionate about digital arts, including tools like Blender, Procreate, and Photoshop. It's a supportive peer-to-peer community where you can share ideas and learn from one another. The group host John will do a FREE demonstration, followed by a chance to try it yourself on the library PC's!
Bring your own equipment and connect with fellow creatives to spark inspiration and make progress together.
We have recently installed the following software on the public PC's and is free to use:
- Blender 3D: Free 3D creation suite for modeling, animation, and game design.
- GIMP: Free image editor for photo retouching and graphic design.
- Inkscape: Free vector graphics editor for logos and illustrations.
- Krita: Free digital painting program for artists and illustrators.
Need to Know:Info: Please note that no equipment will be provided! There are no age restrictions; however, adults must accompany children. The club is recommended for ages 7+ due to the complexity of the software. This is intergenrational and no teaching is involved. Access:Ramp/path at the side of the building with automatic doors for accessible access. No parking availability at this library. There is one accessible toilet, no changing facilities are available other than a baby changing table. The steps on the entrance have a yellow painted strip across and there is a side path entrance with automatic doors, there are no stairs in the library floor space other than the basement which is not in use for members of the public and furniture is spaced out to accommodate mobility chairs, we offer seating around the library and staff are able to assist customers should they require. Outdoors space that leads from the children's area into a small yard, this is also accessible.
